It's been a while since I've posted, huh?

So it turns out I haven't really been in a healthy place (mentally, ofc) lately and I've had literally zero inspiration to write TuT

But the moment I do, there'll be constant updates coz I really intend to finish BSC <3

          	Until then!

          	Love,
          	Maya

OHH IMPORTANT QUESTION MY LOVES

Should I or Should I not turn BLOOD STAINS CRIMSON into a series of 2 or 3 books? It may turn out to be really long and I wanna know if you prefer LONG BOOKS or like a long plot spread across a few books?

JoelleSC

@TheMayaKnight It typically depends on a major change in environment or event. Like, Maze Runner for example. Book 1 is the Maze, Book 2 is outside the maze; scorched earth. If the story still follows through the same plot/environment, you can keep it to 1 book. If there's gonna be a lot of major events, it'll likely be good to separate them so that the following books are more focused on those particular events. There really isn't any standard to how long a book should be. It can range even up to 70+ chapters (like A Game of Thrones) or even 80+ chapters (A Storm of Swords)

Okay, sneak peek of chapter 14 of BLOOD STAINS CRIMSON because I love you people and want you to forgive me for putting this off

Aneira stepped closer, her guilt like a grace note amidst the composition. "I’m sorry…"

Zara's hand, a calming chord, rested upon Aneira's shoulder. "Compassion, dear one, is a melody that graces the harshest of storms. When healing, we must deal with suffering. You have a compassionate heart, child. It's a gift, especially in this line of work. Just remember, healing isn't just about treating wounds. It's about understanding pain and suffering, and doing what we can to ease it."

"Then why does that man's mirror the face of a doe before a hunt?" The deep voice, an unexpected timbre, pierced the room's cadence.

Zara's retort was caught in the crosshairs of their king's gaze, his quirked eyebrow a playful crescendo to her indignation.

As the king's presence had broken the sanctity of the almshouse , Zara replied, thoroughly annoyed . "Ah, your Grace, you honor our humble composition with your regal entrance."

Aneira's wide-eyed wonder met the king's gaze, a gentle harmony of innocence and your Grace. She had met him once before. But, his aura made her stare every time.

“Aneira, stop staring. It’s rude,” Zara said. It was less of it being rude, and more of the fact that his aura seemed to command respect.

          “Hello, Aneira.”

The king's smile, a rhapsody of mirth, rippled through the air. His eyes met Zara’s again, "It seems the overture of healing has been overpowered by an unexpected audience."

Zara's voice, a dance of wit, returned the banter. "Indeed, your Grace.”
With a single look, the king's leer dissolved, leaving Zara's own smile fading into silence—a note in the opus of a royal encounter.

“Almshouse humor, I suppose. Not very appreciated by healers, is it?” he asked, sheepishly.

NEW CHAPTER OF Blood Stains Crimson COMES OUT ON 19th! It is one of my personal favorites lol xD

          here's a sneak peek of CHAPTER 13 - A CHALICE IN RED <3

"Why is that, dear Freydis? Have I not always regarded you as a confidante?"

"Your grace, it is not you whom I fear," she began, her voice threading its way through the quietude like a whispered secret. "Rather, it is the prospect of my own destiny, a certain path that lies ahead."

"A certain path?" Lady Pomona mused, her voice an undercurrent of gentle reflection. "You speak of destiny, Freydis. Yet, I have always regarded destiny as an uncharted, uncertain path, a story yet to be told."

“When you are unaware of the future, then it is an uncharted, uncertain path. But when you do, then it turns into something more frightening than not knowing. You know the path doesn’t change, and the weight of anticipation, of expectations, rests upon each step you take.”

Turning away from the queen, Freydis lifted the wine jug, allowing the pink liquid to cascade into the awaiting golden chalice beside it. The delicate path of the faerie's glistening tears traced the curve of her cheek, a subtle testament to the emotions entwined within this moment, while the delicate hues of pink liquid unfurled like a bloom.

Out emerged a concealed flacon, nestled between her bosoms.

SNEAK PEEK OF CHAPTER 13 - BLOOD STAINS CRIMSON!
          COMING SOON, I PROMISE XD

“Listen here kid, just because you have an upper-class family name, doesn’t make you any special here,” she whispered, as she lifted his chin to face her mocking expression. Her sharp claw poked at his chin, sensing all the fear that seemed to be pumping through his body. She chuckled, pulling her hand back. Phillip dropped his head again.

Her laughter seemed to split the air, as it echoed through the dark cells.

“Scared, eh?” she asked. “Tch tch tch, it’s too bad. It doesn’t change your fate.”
