Welp, it's official, Wattpad absolutely sucks. I really used to enjoy this site/app but it has gone extremely downhill (like most similar sites nowadays cause like wtf are Wattpad Coins and who tf would pay to read on a site where there are very few actual published authors, especially good ones). I was planning on (and still am) getting back into writing because I loved it and I want to rekindle that love. But upon receiving an email today stating I apparently posted some restricted content in what happened to be my most-read story (note that the story had been up since 2015/2016 and had about 20k reads last time I checked so it wasn't recent) and that it had been completely removed I feel a bit discouraged. It doesn't make sense to me as to why the story wouldn't have been removed sooner if it was really that bad let alone removed at all instead of just being unpublished or something so I could still access it. It just seems backhanded to me for Wattpad to say 'you own all the rights to the content you create and post' and 'it's important to respect and protect fellow Wattpadder's feelings, property, etc.' but then remove anything they don't like completely without warning to the creator. Nonetheless, I won't let this stop me but I will be unpublishing everything except my "I keep getting tagged" book, and move my ongoing works to a different site (probably AO3) and just wanted to let anyone who cares know. I don't know if I will ever come back to this site honestly this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth but I digress. I hope everyone who sees this is doing well. - Foxy
