@ hagreen6 The deer can hear you walking and will slowly move away so you (the predator) won't hear it. Also you have to be downwind to be able to sneak up on them. If you kill a deer they will stay away from that place for some time. The field dressing was okay. But you do keep the liver, it is a nice source of iron. Plus if you kill a animal where there are no refrigerator, you have to smoke the excess because within hours flies have laid eggs in the meat. And it also start rotting in the heat of what I assume is a tropical island.
But I really like your story, definitely a rereading i the future.

Sorry I just saw this— but no, never hunted! Other than that I hope I was decently accurate about field dressing and all that because yeah… zero experience here lol

@ hagreen6 I actually added the book after reading it... I did enjoy it, but have you ever hunted? Because after they spotted the deer you made the characters speak together. If they can see the deer, the deer can must certainly hear you if you speak and will bolt.

Thank you for adding CHALLENGES: The Foresters, to your reading list and for following me. I wrote the book for a multitude of reasons. To show unity in a family who learned it by losing their parents. A sister that depended on them as they taught her all they knew. And the men who come into her life don't stand a chance when her brothers are incredible men. She's a bit of a hellion, but has a heart full of love. It takes a very special man to win her heart and respect... and you will understand why in the end. Hope you love the book. Thanks for choosing it.

@TheiaVil Because I'm a writer, I understand picky. I also edit for others. So I can tell within one page if I can read it. I don't expect perfection, but I demand the evidence of a plot, not just chit-chat. Each event must lead to expanding on the plot, if not, then it wanders like listening to gossip.

@SueHart2 my collection has taken three years of scouting wattpad for my particular fetish of books and as you can see I have a big variation in what genre I like. I have read every one of my books and some several times, but I have read or started to read at least five times that amount to find these books as only the good ones make my list. So after shearching for so long you have to use every trick in the book to find new material.

I often put some of them there to check out later. Some of these are written by friends. I follow those who read my work to keep in touch with them. I may not have found them otherwise. The readers usually know what's good to read.

Wow. "Books I reread at least 20 times" has to be the most flattering reading list I've ever been put on. Thanks :)

TheiaVil

@vblawnola hehe I could have written "absolutely my favourite books" but everyone has one of dose. And I have read and reread all of these books countless times and I am going to do it again. Your book especially because after reading it I have searched far and wide after another postapocalyptic story (which doesn't include zombies) and came up short so your story is the only thing on wattpad that itches my weird like of postapocalyptic fetish. :)
