@Tim Haven't yet had the time to go full space opera yet with my writing, but pretty much everything I write is inspired by the likes of Banks, Vinge, Tchaikovsky and a host of other hard science fiction writers, with a bit of Patrick O'Brian mixed in. I'm similarly on the lookout for works of that ilk.
