Tina Kohlhofer

My name is Christina Kohlhofer (Tina), I am 41 years old and I am on a journey of discovery. I am a Medical Assistant and am learning new things about myself and some of that is done through poetry.  Poetry has helped me to heal. I live and work in Toledo, Oh. I enjoy my work, spending time with family and writing the most. I have discovered the need and desire to love and be loved. I have found my muse.  I am enjoying this journey of love and discovering what make me happy for me.  
I have always dabbled in writing which is a surprise that I would do it, since I hated English and Composition in school.  However it has since become essential to me.  It is a relaxing past time that has brought to the surface many things that I had long forgotten to count as qualities.  
I started writing in 2004 for an online contest, thought I would give it a shot, I probably would not be chosen but then something amazing happened, I was chosen and published the first time, for My friend. Then next two years the same company called on me again and asked me to take part in their books, and then I submitted Love, and finally Hear Me. All three are deeply personal poems, but relatable to all people.   After these three I did not write again for 16 years. In December of 2019 I discovered that the passion I had for writing was still there and I wanted to share my passion and openly live it. 
Please I encourage you to never let anyone destroy your self-worth and take away your desire for love, and laughter, most importantly hold on to Hope, it can be your beacon of light in the very darkest of times.
