Hi, Tony. Long time but current events have me thinking of folks around the world that I have met here and just feel a need to say stay safe and well

          Reporting back to my followers.
          
          I don't know how many of you, like me, thought it was impossible to make money from writing unless you were extremely lucky, well, I was told that the Self Publishing Formula was the answer, but the 101 course was £400. I didn't really have that sort of money, but dipped into my football (soccer) fund and bought it. That was at the end of March.
          
          I diligently followed the course, found a professional editor and somewhere to get better covers. It all cost money and (remember I'm 71 and on a pension) I was just about out of cash I could use. However, the work on the books and the better blurbs etc. were causing a few sales and, even better, readthrough (when people finish one book and start another).
          
          Then I realised I must have the SPF Ads For Authors Course if I was going to turn my 30 books a month (and growing) into real success and a substantial income.
          
          I borrowed from savings to pay for that and started it early June.
          
          On 17th June I started my first adverts and, by the end of June (13 days) I had already earned enough Amazon royalties to pay for both the 101 course AND the Ads course. 
          
          What would July bring?

          I know I have followers who are capable of following my lead. At least a dozen. Just LOOK at my royalties for July, and still growing. It is up to you. You need good stories, well written, well edited with good covers and the sky is the limit!

Loved sphere and passenger. Isaac Asimov is my favorite author. The best book to me is Society of the Mind. He was the reason I even got into robots.

          It took 107 days from starting the Self Publishing Formula 101 course to get to this position.

          Those of you who've stayed following me since i decided to publish professionally, will remember that I started the 101course from SelfPublishingFormula.com on 27th March. 
          
          The first two months were really a learning process and building up a mailing list which now stands at 900 and grows at about ten each day.
          
          Two days after my last post, below, i began the second course, AdsForAuthors and then put my first advertisement out for one of my books, The Visitor. You can see the actual ad on http://harmsworth.net/6ad.png
          
          The results were instantaneous and you can see the graph of my Amazon sales on the following page. The blue columns are The Visitor and my other books appear above it. http://harmsworth.net/6sales.jpg It also shows how many books were sold in June. 
          
          The third image is from the end of June. It is the Kindle UK Best Sellers list for Hard Science Fiction. To say I'm delighted would be an understatement - http://harmsworth.net/6sellers.jpg From NOTHING to THAT in three months.
          
          Now I know some of you balked at the fact that the 101course costs about $400. Well, what do you think now. This last graph is my Amazon royalties for the month of June.           You'll also notice that sales of my other books are good too, with virtually no promotion other than links to all books at the back of every book. The growth is called readthrough. If your books are good, well edited and have brilliant covers then you will succeed. 
          
          I am not alone in taking the SelfPublishingFormula courses and listening to their free podcasts. Many are earning tens of thousands PER MONTH and several have sales in the millions each year.
          
          Anyway, I can take you to water, but I cannot make you drink.
