The crooked court was in full swing. Roman and his people had appropriated some hotel downtown, fixing it up and filling it up to the brim - almost every one of Roman’s most and least trusted court members was here, celebrating. He wasn’t sure what they were celebrating, but Roman was having fun all the same. Snatching a champagne glass off a passing tray, Roman proffered it to a stranger. “I don’t recognize you, friend,” he said with a charming, disarming smile, sky-blue eyes innocent. “What would you be doing here?”

“How lovely. I’ve a feeling this will be the start of a new and beautiful relationship,” Roman replied with earnest goodwill. This was a lie. He still didn’t trust Kadraih in the slightest, but such things would come. In time. “The English won’t be a problem, friend. In fact, this is Maddox.” Roman gestured to the man next to him.
“He’ll get you set up with a new identity and show you the ropes, teach you some English. But for now - I’ll show you around to some rogues, make sure they know you’re alright.” Roman gave him another grin. “Any new names in mind or can I pick one for you, friend?”

This man has lifted a very great weight from his shoulders and it was Obvious because he was now relaxed and a lot brighter in a sense, eyes flaring happily. As his he scanned over the lieutenant, curious and a little wary.

Well. This was more beneficial than Roman had initially expected. He gestured one of his lieutenants over, leaning in slightly to speak and listen to the mysterious young man. He’d help Kadraih disappear, no problem. He didn’t even need to ask what he was running from. Whatever it was, Roman was confident he’d handle it.
