Books with pictures feel so weird to me dawg lol. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all of them. There is this one book by Green pencil I think her name is where she does it perfectly and it actually fits the basis of her story. It’s just the books where the author has a photo of a character or a scene and forces it into the storyline. “My mom had just beat my ass for the hundred time and I could hardly walk. But my homegirls decided to come over and cheer me up. So as we are getting ready for this party my bestie says to me “hey, let me snap a quick pic of you boo.” *Incerts photo of a gorgeous model in full blown flawless make up.” It’s like they’re just so freaking anxious to show you some glossy ass photo they found. It totally takes me out of the actual story and I’m just left to look at an image of an insta model or some mansion off Pintercrest that’s not even realistic for the character they have described. Like why do I need to see some adidas outfit she wearing with an IPhone propped up next to it? So cringey. Maybe it’s just me but I like to leave somethings to the imagination, which often times is ten times better than any photo that can be googled.

Hey so while I try to string my memory together and rewrite Bigger Dreamz, I’m thinking about writing one of those “you choose” kinda books where it’s the readers choice on what the character chooses to do at the end of each chapter and the story will have like ten different possible endings. What y’all think?
