V.C. Andrews has become so much more than just a name, it has become a legacy.

Virginia C. Andrews was born on June 6, 1923, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her first book, Flowers in the Attic, was first published in November 1979, and she has remained one of the most beloved and bestselling authors since. Her popularity has recently surged with the hit Lifetime TV movie adaptation of Flowers in the Attic, and the upcoming premiere of Petals on the Wind, to air on Lifetime in May 2014.

There are over 100 million copies of her books in print, and she has been translated into 22 foreign languages.

Following the death of Virginia Andrews, the Andrews family worked with a carefully selected writer to organize and complete Virginia Andrews's stories and to create additional novels inspired by her storytelling genius.
