❝What are you doing?❞ She asked walking into the workshop. ❝Hey, no! Back off, Morgan❞ She frowned and easily picked her sister up like a little baby and walked away from the table putting her back on the floor near the door. ❝Don't touch that❞

She had learnt to be sneaky to disguise her activities in both the workshop and skipping school. She never left the workshop without tidying it up and making sure that she left everything as she found it and she often hacked into the administration and made her attendance perfect and submitted all of her homework by electronic submission as her grades were relied on homework grades and test scores.

However she didn't know what to do when she got caught like now.

            "Hey..."

Morgan dropped the cables as she was pulling away. She tried to kick her sister as the other was holding her and setting her down on the floor.

            She glared at Lexi angrily.

"I just saw something wrong with the wiring and wanted to fix it. Besides you have never complained about it when I have tickered on your projects before and improved them." She covered her mouth after the last part, realising that Lexi didn't know about her tickering.

It was late in the evening so Morgan thought that no one would come down - they usually didn't as everyone would be sleeping due to the fact that it was a weekday and both Lexi and Pepper had to go to work and Morgan had to go to school.

Had to, it was a funny phrase in the English. Morgan rarely attended the private school that cost thousands of dollars and a few NDAs that needed to be signed every term, except for test days or class discussions.

Rather she sneaked off to a parade of shops and spent her days rooming up scale bookshops and artisan cafes.

❝ I usually know everyone, although I don't recognize you. Who are you? ❞

            Morgan blinked.
"My name is Oskana Starkova, now Who the hell are you?" She asked defensively with her fake name rolling off her lips easily as she held the soldering iron in her hand as a weapon against the intruder in her workshop.

|| I'm sorry this is so late! <3

Lexi hadn't heard about her sister for the longest time ever, Morgan had simply ran away and she didn't want anyone to find her. Lexi was busy and focused on the company and either way, it took Morgan's mom a long time to tell Lexi about her sister's disappearance. She had tried to look for her but it had been all in vain, or at least she thought so, because now she was there, standing right in front of her baby sister. ❝Maguna...❞ She whispered, it felt like seeing a ghost, so surreal. ❝How...? Where have you been? Are you okay?❞

Pepper hadn't told Lexi for a long time because Morgan would occasionally send her postcards from random locations throughout the country. Even with the pool of money which Pepper had gotten from her late husband, she couldn't track the sender as there was barely any evidence, the postal stamps were from the cities that the Postcards were sent from, there was no DNA evidence and different people went to the post offices and sent the postcards.

Morgan cursed under her breath, she was walking to the street corner where her uber would pick her up from the college party which she abandoned after remembering that she had a meeting with her thesis supervisor and needed to do a large amount of work.

She squeezed her eyes shut tightly as if to will the image of her older sister away and then opened them, there was a flicker of disappointment that Lexi was still standing there. A groan left her lips and she began fishing in her pocket for a packet of cigarettes and a lighter.

She shoved a cigarette between her lips and lit it. She took a drag to calm herself down, she knew that her girlfriend, Lia would kill her if she knew that she was smoking again. But Morgan internally justified it that she was stressed.

"You want one?" She asked, her voice sounded rough as if she hadn't spoke in a few days, which she hadn't really. She had been alternating between the campus labs and the library for the past week, until she was kicked out by a group of concerned people i.e the librarians and the lab technicians. Hence, she headed straight for a campus frat party to blow off some steam and then remembered her deadline after seeing the date on the frat president's phone.

"SO IT IS YOU…"

the woman spoke, tilting her head a little as she observed the younger. she’d definitely grown since she last saw her; but then again, the doctor had been quite busy with the whole multiverse thing and wanda. she hadn’t had much time for much else.

"YOUR MOTHER IS LOOKING FOR YOU. DO YOU NEVER PLAN ON GOING BACK HOME AGAIN?"

“You… seem familiar…” the woman’s brows seem to furrow at her. Clearly something was up, she only came across this woman while she was off doing a normal day. No missions, no nothing, she just showed up. “Have we met before?” She asked further.
