It's (honestly) going to take a while to settle in on here... (but I love to write and comment on peoples thoughts and ideas... so, in the interest of keeping me inline and up to date as to go about things Please just keep pointing things out like this to me... A lost wattpadd'r will often find my words 'helpful' in there quest to pound out the stories...

Thanks for the comments.

I was Peace Corps in 1964. With an impending event in the form of Liberia’s Civil War, I have the protagonist and antagonist, who can’t get along until they fall in love and marry. On Wattpad, readers’ interest in next chapters diminishes after that. Readers are not following so much later when their child is born on the eve that brutal war breaks out and the main female character is mortally wounded. Selling this to an agent may mean bringing the war and conflict resolution between the main characters seem closer together. The child is indispensable to the story.

My son told me that my Armageddon story is too ridiculous. He used my portrayal of the Biblical Barabbas there as an example. “He’s the nicest terrorist you’d ever want to meet.”

Age makes it easier to look at something I have written and with no loss to my ego to say that it sucks. It may or may not be possible to reverse its fatal flaws.
I wish you the best in your writing.

Hi William, and welcome to Wattpad. I’m one of the Ambassadors who helps the Wattpad crew keep things running, so if you have any questions on how anything works or anything else on the vagaries of this site, please feel free to get in touch (hit the reply button) or go to http://www.wattpad.com/user/WPNinjas (the Ambassador’s page).
Also there are various useful bits and bobs on http://www.wattpad.com/writertips.
Something new on here too recently is The Pub - http://www.wattpad.com/club/40-the-pub The Pub is a place for readers and writers of any genre, but the idea is to help out the minority of males on the site. Whether you are a guy who likes to write, need tips on creating male characters or just want to hang around with the gents, this is the place to come.
Hope you have a good time on here, sorry for the slightly delayed welcome. Cheers, Gav
