does it ever just hurt to breathe? not physically. knowing you’re breathing and they aren’t anymore. knowing you’ll keep on breathing in pain because they didn’t want to anymore. or because they didn’t think they could continue to breathe in pain. but now because they couldn’t stand it, now you have to. you have to endure the pain and the ache and the hurt no matter how much you want to stop hurting too. sometimes you think the ache and pain will never go away. some days it’s nearly impossible to breathe. some days it seems to be easier. but it seems like you’ll never breathe normally again you almost don’t want to, do you? because when the ache is gone, what else will there be to remind you of them? what happens when you can learn to breathe again without them?

when does a dad joke become a “dad joke”?
