@rnjm2021 im the same. But also feel it’s up to the writer as well. I personally do not enjoy writing smut or reading about anal lol but the best thing about Redding is skimming over stuff I don’t like. So if there’s too much smut or stuff I’m not into I’ll skim.

@chanmapan and I were just talking about how hard it can be to pour your heart into writing something, publish it, and then get maybe one person commenting. So — honest question. What makes you decide whether or not to comment on a fic you’re reading? Is it relationship to the author? Time in your day? When something shocks or surprises or delights you? What makes you decide whether to comment or not?
Sometimes it’s literally just my mood, I could be shocked gasp and continue reading on, other times I can just blink and write my thoughts out. for me, I also write more on people that have talked to me in the past or commented back to me on a previous book. But I’ll be damn if I see a little note at the end about commenting and votes it also pursuades me lolll
@E_L_C_01 I couldn’t agree more! When people are gracious and take their time to comment, it’s a total boon, immediately encouraging me to write more. It’s so compelling when a reader just can’t not comment because my writing has touched them in some way — even if it’s because something I wrote made them angry. If I’m reading here on Wattpad, I definitely comment. I love noticing what other writers do in their craft
