I'm pretty sure that the majority of people didn't even realize it was a slur, so chances are the author didn't either. Plus, I'm sure the author got enough of these comments on the story. No need to post a message ♥️ (I get these comments were a couple years ago, but y'know. People always come back to books.) 

pls stop calling people r*t in your book, its a racial slur. pls educate yourself
