As writers, we put up with a lot.

We get scrutinized for our writing. Our pace. Our grammar. Our characters. Our storyline. Our paragraph spacing. We get spammed. We get pestered for updates. We get the nasty comments. We get asked for advice. We put up with the rude messages and the trolls and the people who try to tell us what to write. We deal with the ignorant folk of Wattpad, all while tackling our own writing.

Wattpad writers should be able to say no when pestered with all of these requests and inquires. We should be allowed to bite back when the trolls come out to play or when the arrogance is too high - WITHOUT being shamed for it.

#WritersDefence is a movement created to stand up for the authors of this vast orange world. The campaign aims to recognize and support the author struggle on Wattpad.

Sick of people not appreciating you or your writing? Add the #WritersDefence hashtag to your story or bio to show that you're going to support your fellow writers!

Let others out there that you're not going to just let them walk all over you!

And, add the #WritersDefence sticker to your book to show your support and that YOU are ready to stick up for yourself!

This campaign is not here to help you with your problems. We will NOT report people you have a problem with; that is NOT what this campaign is for. If you want someone reported, YOU do it.
