After the recent situation with Tyler Joseph, I want to publicly say that I no longer support him or Twenty One Pilots. What he did was awful and I am personally ashamed to have considered him a role model in regards to mental health advocacy, especially as people of color are less likely to receive adequate mental health care - and health care in general.

Brendon Urie’s problematic actions have also come up online and I don’t support him either, and haven’t for some time as I was aware before about the racist jokes.

This was important for me to bring up because racial justice is important to me, and as a writer in a community where these guys are idols, I want to publicly denounce them.

          	Thank you for reading this.

In light of the Austin Carlile accusations, I have decided to take down my first story “Too Young To Live This Way” as Austin Carlile is a main character and a protagonist, which is no way a r*pist should be portrayed.

I firmly stand behind the survivors and feel the pain they must be going through right now. We must work extra hard in our communities to combat things like this.

This may be a difficult time for some of you, but it is important that we are able to call out this behavior, even in the people we look up to/used to look up to. I’m always here if you need resources, or just to chat :)

All of this being said, THANK YOU for all of the support in my first story. It was a wild ride, and the worst story I’ve ever written lol. Even then, that story provided me with an outlet (just like my others) for a lot of personal trauma I was just unable to let out in my life.

More stories to come ;) stay tuned, I need opinions.

@shadowheart1000 I agree, and am no longer supporting AltPress either.

@shadowheart1000 here’s the link! They actually weren’t threatened with legal action, they just didn’t know if they had enough evidence to publish the story. https://www.altpress.com/news/alternative-press-austin-carlile-story-statement/?utm_campaign=later-linkinbio-altpress&utm_content=later-7752237&utm_medium=social&utm_source=instagram

@shadowheart1000 years ago Alternative Press interviewed 15 women that made accusations against him. Some were underaged at the time. Alternative Press was threatened with legal action and dropped the story but it’s been brought up again. I’ll link a statement from AP

(1) Hello!! It’s been awhile since I’ve been on, and I have something that I feel is important to talk to you about (especially if you’re in the U.S. like I am!)
This will take up more than one post because of maximum word length restrictions.

          Black lives matter!!

This is an issue that has been affecting people of color since before they were even legally considered people in the U.S.
The system has held down POC in our country in various ways, including police brutality, the wealth gap, racist crime bills and the prison system, etc. and America has needed to take action on our racist system since it was created. We have yet to do so.

POC are murdered, racially profiled, and wrongly arrested and sentenced at extremely disproportionate rates. There is absolutely no denying how racist our system is.

If you are silent about this, you are part of the problem. (You can change that!!!)

Rioting is a result of generations of people being held down in America because of the color of their skin, it is a result of lifetimes of injustice and if you think rioting is inappropriate, please take the time to re-evaluate yourself and your own privilege. People are fighting for their lives, and the lives of their family and friends. The least you can do is be an ally to POC right now.

If you think people haven’t already TRIED peaceful protesting, you are wrong! People have tried peaceful protesting for ages. Rioting and looting is a form of protest that IS relevant in a system that values goods and services over human life.

@Mixed_Race_Emo_Bitch I’m just seeing your comment! I’m sorry for the bullying and racism you’ve had to endure, it’s awful that Ignorance and hate are so prominent in the way people treat each other and I hope you’re in a better place now in regards to that! Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot to me :) I’m here if you ever need anything.

I don’t know if ive ever said it before, but your Jalex (I’m a walking disaster ones) are a couple of my absolute favourite books on wattpad. I didn’t even realise until recently that they weren’t in my reading lists, so I added them and then *obviously* had to reread and now I’m in a sobbing mess they are still some of my favourites. I’m emotional
