Call Me Beautiful

Inspirational quotes tend to be bullshit.

➳ Hi.  I'm Mary Zhou, but you can call me Beautiful.

        Reality says that I am not strong, or confident, or of worth, but my stories, poems, and writings say otherwise.

        Futhermore, I stick up for myself.  If you disrespect my human rights in any way or form, I shall not hesitate to disregard yours.  In the end, mutual respect can either be achieved, or ignored.  I would prefer the former to the latter.

➳ My scars remind me to not add to their numbers.

         Love who you have if you can't have what you love.  Sometimes, all you have is yourself.

➳ Books are everything to me.  They take away the pain.

          Books are the fairytales that I wish to live out.  In moments where I read them, I dream.  In moments where I write them, I live.

➳ Consider me a minimalist.
