I'm a writer who uses the em dash (—), but sometimes the website can't save it properly, so instead of using the actual symbol, I'll use three hyphens (---) as the alternative for em dash instead.

          	  Or I might put spaces in between the em dash symbols I use (I am aware this is wrong syntax, but I don't want to make it look more messy by using three hyphens).
