     My name is Carter Quin. And this is my story. 

I was born rich. Yea I know that sounds stereotypical, but my dad had a fair amount of money. We were by no means millionaires, we were just wealthier upper class. He wasn't that rich stuck up snob you guys might be picturing. He was actually a great guy..... he gave money to charity organizations, donated tons to animal rescue leagues. He spent his days at rallies and protests ( a total hippie for which i teased him relentlessly) Sure he was opinionated, but never in a bad way, he was respected and respectful. He loved me and I loved him. He was my best friend. And then he died, when I was 18. I'm 19 now, and it still hurts. After he died I went downhill pretty bad. I had no one. And I was a legal adult so I was left to make my mark in the world.... that didn't go too well. Long story short, with the money my dad left me I refused to sell the house, but asked my neighbor to keep it in working order for a small fee. I decided to stay at college, its what he would have wanted, but I had no heart for it, I didn't want to study, didn't care about any classes. I just got the call one day, in the middle of Physiology class, and after dad died I stopped eating. I started to shut myself away, I did things I wasn't proud of. My roommates forced me to see someone and I was diagnosed with severe depression, anorexia, insomnia, schizophrenia, and the hole in my heart ( that I had had since 17 ) was getting worse. So I wound up here, in this hospital, and I met the five best friends I've ever had. So maybe it wasn't all bad right?
