Hi. I'm johncalda.  I don't always know where a story is going when I start writing it. Sometimes, it begins with a single line. A random thought. A name that suddenly appears in my head at 2 AM.  Then somehow, that little idea becomes a character. The character gets a past. The past creates a problem. The problem creates a feeling.  And before I know it, I'm already emotionally attached to people who don't even exist.  That's probably why I write.  I write about the things we wish we could say, the people we wish we could meet, and the kind of love that feels impossible until it happens. My stories may be fictional, but the emotions behind them are always meant to feel real.  So, if you ever find yourself staying up late because you "just want to read one more chapter," welcome.
