@adventure How about the fact that Wattpad is getting rid of the private messaging system. No response to that hm? Thought so.

Hello Adventurers!

          We are revamping our reading lists! To help us facilitate that, we will be closing our story submission forms for a short while as we set up our new lists. As soon as those forms are open again for story submissions we will let you know. We will also notify you when our guidebook has been updated with our new reading list submission guidelines.

          The purpose of the revamp is to enable us to build an extensive library that will allow readers to fully immerse themselves in all the adventure genre has to offer here on Wattpad, and showcase even more amazing writers and their stories.

          Thanks for your patience while we get this all sorted out.

@adventure
            Depending on whether I felt the feedback was truly a step in the right direction, yes and no. While I rely on feedback to grow as a writer, there have been times when the feedback was not intended to be helpful and it was a reader's personal opinion of how they wanted the story to be/end. Their comment was the only one among the others that didn't offer constructive feedback.

            I take feedback with a grain of salt, but I do aim to learn and grow in my writing. If the feedback does bring something to my writing, I take it into consideration. Sometimes, it is folded into the story and sometimes not.

            As for tips: Don't be afraid to further grow as a writer. The moment you think you've learned it all, you're wrong. The depths of the writing craft are never-ending and there is always something new to learn that will help you become better.

@adventure I did alter a major plot point in Sunrise because one of my most valuable readers believed it made no sense to have one of the villains die at the beginning of the story, and they were right.

@adventure Might be yes or no, I consistently strive to employ a persuasive narrative tone that effectively conveys the intended message to the audience. Recently, one of my readers recommended to adjust the writing format. By my belief in the value of constructive feedback, I have incorporated his suggestions into my work.

Much like @Life_Under_The_Stars, I always have multiple projects going at once that I can bounce between when I'm stuck on one or the other. I also bounce ideas off my writer friends to bring some fresh ideas into it--they always come up with the craziest things, and even if I use absolutely none of their suggestions, it usually sparks me to think of what I *do* actually want to write.

When Writer’s Block happens, I have an unpublished story that’s my writer’s block project. When it hits me during a story I’m working on, I just take a break and go to my project story. Usually writers block ends quicker for me that way. In some cases when that doesn’t help, I take my dogs on a long stroll or paint, draw, color. Once my head is cleared usually I can get back to writing again.
