Madeline Jarboe is an autistic, transgender/nonbinary writer, artist, and musician. She lives near Tucson, AZ. Madeline draws from her varied experiences as a disabled and trans person as well as her diverse work history. Madeline holds dual Bachelors in Psychology and Linguistics as well as a Masters in Special Education from the University of Arizona.
Madeline wrote the title story in a collection of flash fiction called Underneath the Stairs, published in 2011 and edited by Lisa Keele. A chapbook of poetry, entitled Dearest Satellite, was released in early 2017. Her work has appeared in several online periodicals including the popular lesbian news/entertainment site Autostraddle. Madeline has also worked extensively with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network communications team to provide resources for the Autism Community.
