!! SLYTHERINS OUT THERE !!

My dear snakes, did you ever want Gryffindor while giving the sorting hat test for the first time after reading or watching Harry Potter? When you received Slytherin as your house, did you ever feel disappointment? How accepting are you of the fact that you are a Slytherin currently?

Does this make you realise how prejudiced the view of Slytherins is?

          	THAT'S WHY!

I created an Instagram page for Slytherin opinions. And I would like my fellow snakes to head over there and give me your opinions or different matters.

From Dumbledore handing over the housecup to Gryffindors every year (no hate to the Dories, I love y'all) to every Slytherin character being portrayed as bad. I post about the prejudiced view towards Slytherins and how we can improve it :D

Here is the link my fellow snakes, it lead to a chamber of secrets, be sure to not get lost:

I GOT A STORY IDEA. Mmmmhhhh. Wrote the prologue for now eh. Might put it on the platform after I write at least 5 chapters.

          Here is an excerpt:

In every batch of perfectly manufactured goods, there are always a bunch of faulty ones.

In my batch of humans, I am the faulty one.
          .
          .
          .
Its been titled as EMPTY HEADS for now.

OKAY EVERYONE I NEED HELP

CAN Y'ALL TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS ON CULTURAL APPROPRIATION IN KPOP?

DO YOU THINK IT'S JUST PEOPLE BEING OVERDRAMATIC OR IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOT HURT OTHER CULTURE BY USING THEM AS AESTHETIC?

alainaisella

@joonlien52 thank you for enlightening me wih your opinions! Hope you're healthy and happy!

@Alaina1705

also idk how to feel about using
cultures as an aesthetic. idt it would
be a problem if the people using
it knew the culture uk. not like deep
or anything but at least what they
use. instead of posting pictures and
then not knowing where they're from.

            I've seen westerners practice
            kandyan dance and its usually
            something that makes us very
            happy so its like respect.

there's some kpop groups that do
ca several times and tend to be
            really racist and never apologize.
but some do apologize for it if
they've done it and if they work
on not repeating the mistake again,
i think the apology is valid!

whoa this is a whole fricking essay
but thats what i think hshshshs.

@Alaina1705

this topic is very controversial and
i did do some research because i
didn't know what to do with
            everyone having different opinions
about it. I think it depends a lot in
the way the particular group uses
it. credits are important, so is using
it appropriately in a way that doesnt
            insult the culture but rather
            appreciating it.

            there are several videos on
youtube about it tho, and ive
            seen several arguements too. also
the way the usage of this culture is
seen by fans is important (if that
            makes sense. fans tend to
            automatically connect everything
to the group (not all, but some!) it
cuts down credits to where the
            elements used are actually
            coming from.

you can't use a culture and then
            degrade/insult/make fun of it or
be racist but that's exactly what
            some people do.

for too many people its a trend so
they wouldn't know where the trend
            actually originates but just indulge
            in it anyway.

some people do go overboard tho
            and provoke arguements even if
there isnt ca but instead someone
            respecting the culture. Ive seen
hate lashed out in comments. I feel
like most of us really don't know the
lines so its very blurred and messy?
            I would appreciate it if there's a
            proper guide/instruction about it
tbh so its clear what the line
            between respect/appreciation
            and appropriation are.

like there was this girl who practiced
irish tap dance and she danced it
to some remix on tiktok so people
started calling it ca. but she ended
up with a irish tap dance school actually inviting her there. that wasn't
ca but her doing a dance she
            knows and loves.
