- a woman should follow her husband no matter what his lot is
- who needs a reason for betrayal one must always think the worst even if you're own kin that way, you avoid too much disappointment in life. 
-  lots of things in life require a couple of tries before you get it right.
- people like talking about people. Makes them feel superior, makes them feel in control, and sometimes, for some people, knowing some things makes them care.
- if we don't talk to them, they can't lie to us. And we can't lie to them.
-  they say 'happy endings are stupid' but not because theres no happiness in your beginnings doesn't mean your whole life is meaningless.
