Hey everyone! If you haven’t yet heard, I’m getting a short story of mine published by OwlCrate Press in their first ever anthology called MONSTERS IN MASQUERADE. It will be out sometime in fall 2024 and I’m super excited. 
          
          OwlCrate just released the cover AND IT’S GORGEOUS ❤️ The sprayed edges are on point!! Receiving the opportunity to be published alongside other established authors is a dream come true!!

!!I'VE GOT SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS!! :D 
          
          First, I apologize for not being as active the past couple weeks. Back in December, I submitted a vampire short story to OwlCrate on a whim and just signed a contract with them this month! My 1950s paranormal-horror-romance combo called "SHE BLOOMS AT NIGHT" is going to be published in OwlCrate's first short story anthology entitled "MONSTERS IN MASQUERADE." It's set to release this fall some time in 2024. I'll keep you all posted :D 
          
          I AM SO EXCITED. Like, sooooo excited. 
          
          So, yes, I was working on my second round of revisions/edits for that, which is why "The Escaped Con's Hostage" got ignored for a moment there...sorry! BUUUUUT now for my second good news.... 
          
          THE ESCAPED CON'S HOSTAGE is complete!! I've just posted Chapters 18 & 19. And the final chapters (20-21 + epilogue) will be published tomorrow! 
          
          Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward to changing that button to "COMPLETE" haha. 
          
          And now I can finally start catching up on all the lovely ONC entries. Such a sweet reward <3

          As of now on Wattpad, we're at 28,870 words! You better believe I will be using up every single word I can for this novella. There is just way too much to say and do :)

Sorry for the delay in update, but the next Escaped Con's Hostage chapter is out! I've been fleshing out the end and writing a lot :) I have about five more chapters to write before the story ends. So exciting! This project has been a lot of fun!

Panicking a bit after realizing that my ONC project is already closing in at 20,000 words, ahhhh! I still have so much to tell though *sigh* But I'm going to have to cut to the chase from here on out. 
          
          Just warning you all that I will cutting some fun plot points to keep this beast in its cage at 40k words. Depending on reader feedback, I'll probably extend it to a novel post ONC. That's what I did with Blend :D

Well I had quite an interesting weekend. Someone crashed their SUV right into our backyard, sending brick right through our window. Luckily everyone--the driver, us, and furbabies--are all okay! I'm counting my blessings. But the incident definitely left me feeling out of sorts. I was hoping to read a ton more ONC entries this weekend but instead I had to deal with that. But now I'm feeling more like myself and I'm going to spend the next couple of days trying to get caught up :D

          Thanks for everyone's support on my ONC story! As of right now it's ranking #1 in the ONC2024 tag, which is such a fantastic feeling! I'm going to hold onto this feeling before it gets knocked down to #400 because that's usually how it works for some reason, lol. Some days you rank well and then the next thing you know you're at the bottom haha.
