A lot of you may have heard of the Once Upon Now contest (based on retelling fairy tales in a modern setting) that's in the first round of eliminations right now.  My entry, The Trip to Bremen, has been published, and I really need your support to make it to the next round -- only the 25 stories  with the most votes will even be read by the official judges!  I know many of you have followed me because of my other retellings, like Cutie and the Crazed, Twisted Fairy Tales(Elle, Scarlett), so I hope you get the chance to check out The Trip to Bremen and, if you like it, recommend it to your friends and followers.           Ethel wants to go on an adventure.  Her best friend's granddaughter, Katja, and Katja's crush/neighbor  join her on her quest to hike to Bremen and become a street musician -- her last hurrah before entering a retirement home in the city.
          
          The trio set out to fulfill their greatest dreams -- or at least Ethel's greatest dreams -- but end up meeting Ethel's childhood friend, investigating a robbery, and participating in a re-robbery.  At least everyone involved will emerge with very unique summer tale.

I just read your Snow Maiden short story an loved it. I feel as if I have read something similar on Tumblr and was glad to find this one here. I hope you consider changing it from a short story into something longer. Its always nice to see older work and see how far you can take it.
