thinking about how mori's character, at its core, is an abuser and he liked to hurt dazai. like plain and true he enjoyed watching him get hurt. but dazai started reacting less and less to the absolutely horrific shit he put him through and the whole oda plot was 99% just a scheme to *finally* get a real reaction of him, and how mori was literally setting it up so dazai would have to come to him and ask about the permit because wanted to see the look in dazai's face when he realized what was actually happening. and he probably never originally planned to drive dazai out of the mafia but just accidentally pushed him too far
im sorry but like. the thought that oda takes care of orphans he rescues from bad situations. and the thought that dazai is just the oldest kid he rescued.
like oda and dazai's whole relationship is so sad because oda sees dazai as a kid he was too late to save. oda sees dazai and thinks if he was a few years younger then things would be different.
and he has his kids and he takes care of them and protects them but dazai hurts him the most because dazai is too far out of reach for him to save. he's too late.
and in the end dazai is the ONLY one of all of oda's kids that he was able to save. he is the only one that makes it out alive even though oda spent all of his time with dazai worried that the exact opposite was going to happen, that he was too late to help, and that dazai was never going yo make it

if ur thinking abt watchign bsd i jsut want to tell u that they have the trope where the protagonists are in hidngi in this super duper top secret area waiting for the antagonists to attack. and they have the security cameras all set up and this one character who is normally super Silly Goofy Comedic releif is watching the cameras and then he sits up and yells "they're here!" and the Big Boss of the protagonists comes voer and is like "how many men?" and then the other character gets really wuiet and then says "one."
then cut to this one badass character model walking directly into their secret base

idk man something abt how i was literally in july/august 2020 dsmptwt and saw the server literally begin. like i watched c!wilbur die live, i watched the declaration of indepenDANCE stream, and in just a few hours it's going to be over. ik i technically left the fandom a few months ago but still it's so nostalgic to think abt yk??? it still feels like i was here since the beginning and now im seeing it through til the end

yes omg. like being in that fandom was one of the weirdest experiences of my life but whenever I look back on it or see my friends that are still invested talking about it, I kinda remember how like, how much the fandom was to me and how big the community was and still is. it’s a bit like a fever dream
