I really like your book that I read, “Brotherhood”. I noticed so much warm meticularity. The delicate details of lovingly, as Violet is changed . The softness and honest emotions of each of her brothers and her friends . Carter’s exhaustion. Hector’s desperate fear. The sense that magic means you can’t grow up. The joy and love between each character, especially the twins. The joy and love between each pair of characters .
I think Vi would draw and dance. I think she would find power and autonomy, quiet delight and loud giggles in constructing a world out of her hands, cirruphing the air or a marker between her fingers . Cirro is a cloud called for curls, I was thinking of curling.
Without having to make a big deal out of it, Vi could save everyone a bit of emotional labor learning to change the pull up she’s in before dinner or after school
and I like her padding schedule.
Two options I thought of since you asked about messing
She could play in the woods after school and feel the urge to mess without deciding to do it in her pull-up, she could just lack a way to wipe etc and be left with the feeling, needing to clean out of it.
I could also see her getting stuck messy in bed if a for-once thoughtless Carter orders her to stay in place at naptime
..As she tearfully dissolves disclosing that she knew better than staying in her pull up and messing in her pull-up in bed but had to submit to the control Carter wanted to influence on her if she wanted to stay in the family Carter decides to acknowledge the control she has over them and gives her permanent control over herself, a mental paradox which is nonsense .
I hope that you have a good day. Thank you for sharing your writing
