Betsy Cook Speer

Debut novelist, Betsy Cook Speer is a lot like her heroine.  Both are Americans living in Surrey, love knocking down walls, and earned a BS in Chemistry for all the wrong reasons (we're not talking Breaking Bad here). They guzzle champagne like water too.

For 17 1/2 years, Betsy has lived in Surrey with her husband, raising three sons (now 24, 21 & 17). After growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Betsy attended Denison University in Ohio, USA. Her varied and never boring working career has included Kodak technical sales, Stella & Dot star stylist, and development planning for UK Grade 1 listed properties. Her own companies have ranged from child safety to home renovation. Betsy also loves creating art, plumbing, and of course writing. The Demolition Queen screenplay is already in the works. 
London Connection: 
Jam-packed action at the Victoria & Albert Museum during a Pirate Party for London’s glittering upper-crust. Guests show up costumed to the max to find treachery, flooding, and nude, but chocolate-covered, performance art. The top-floor ceramics room, Chihuly chandelier and grand foyer will never be the same.
