As a victim of child abuse, I chose to publish some of my work as a source of comfort and an escape for victims of child abuse. I'm hoping to be a voice for those that can't speak for themselves. I write stories of fiction and some fact, some poetry. I used to escape my childhood through fantasy, stories, music and poetry. I spent a lot of time in group homes, I can honestly say I don't regret it. I learned to adapt and survive. It taught me about people and the evil that men do. Mostly, it taught me to appreciate the love, loyalty and dedication of a good woman. I'm fortunate to have found her at this stage in my life. Because of my past, I never learned to love myself. Luckily, I learned late in life, you HAVE to truly love yourself before you can love anyone else. I love my children. They are my greatest glory. I love my dogs, (did you know that it's a scientific fact that dogs love you more than they love themselves?)
