marcel had been pacing in the glee club choir room for what felt like forever . he was waiting for kurt to show up . he had told the pale boy he needed to tell him something , after a week of deliberation on if he should even tell him or not
-and then eventually deciding kurt deserved an explanation . he was transferring schools , but not because of anyone or anything in particular though, the overwhelming feeling that marcel got in his gut every time kurt even / looked / at him was quite a good reason when he knew it was just going to lead to pain- but because he didn't belong here.
so , as he waited for kurt he paused his pacing and stared at the doorway . hoping he would show up and hoping he wouldn't be too entirely upset with him . kurt's opinion was important to him , maybe / too / important .

@blacksbirds ; marcel nodded , " you're right . " he chewed his lip out of habit , chewing them to the point of chapping them further and cracking them to the point they'd bleed later . " i might as well just get it off my chest now . i'm transferring . to dalton . " he looked away from kurt and down at his own black converse . he wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans before crossing his arms loosely , no sign of anger . " permanently . " he had always looked up to kurt so highly for standing up to everything that got in his way . marcel couldn't do that , he supposed it was why choosing to transfer was easy .

@daltonsquiet ; hesitantly, kurt leaned against the door frame. for the first time in his life, he was unwilling to completely enter the choir room that usually felt so much like a sort of sanctuary. he arched a brow, giving a slow, reluctant nod of agreement over marcel's assessment. they had been far from ' great ' as of late. "unfortunately, i've noticed." his gaze lowered to marcel's hands, teeth sinking into his lower lip. he had always been acutely perceptive on marcel's tremor, but preferred not to mention it, worried about making the other boy uncomfortable. "but you shouldn't have doubted that i would show. surely you can rely on me that much."

@blacksbirds ; marcel froze , looking at the boy that entered the room . he felt his heart pound in his ears , creating a sort of rhythmic beat that he was positive everyone else within the state of ohio could hear . " hey, " marcel greeted back , only to curse himself for sounding so foolish internally . " thank you for coming . i didn't know if you would come, given ... we haven't been exactly amazing recently . " marcel swallowed the lump growing in his throat and attempted to calm down the shaking happening in his arms . his tremor was known to worsen under stress , and this was definitely a stressful time .
