Skeletal fingers creep across my spine
Playing their xylophone lullabies
Deep inside my mind

Dead men stare with marble eyes
Glassy and cold with tears unshed
While their forget-me-nots
Slip whisper soft, breathless
From frozen lips

Decayed women dance on bone tipped toe
Humming still-born songs
Full of untold woe
They dance their funeral dance
With heads hung low

And I sway here
Stay here
In this land of the dead
In the warm safe blackness
Inside my own head
Listening to the xylophone melodies
Played by the dead

Peace out everyone.xX
