it looks like my last announcement didn't post, but i finished "the devil comes to angelovsk" and submitted it to the onc round 3 form with 13 minutes to spare!!!
          	
          	at this point i'm sleep-deprived, behind in my classes, and honestly in need of a short break from wattpad. i wrote around 18,000 words/the last half of "tdcta" in a week, a feat that is impressive as it was daunting. but i did it! and now, to celebrate, i am going to get some rest and catch up before i come back to finish reading all the lovely entries i've been following and reply to all your comments on my own. 
          	
          	once again, thank you all so so much for supporting me during this year's open novella contest. this is my favorite time of the year on wattpad because of the community and the way it comes together to celebrate creativity. truly. there's nothing better.

congratulations to to all the open novella contest round two qualifiers! 
          
          i have been sick and swimming in school work so "the devil comes to angelovsk" might not get finished! ahh! i have 11 days to write 10,000-ish words so, uh, we'll see how it goes but it's not looking great. hope your onc entries are doing much better than my own. there are a lot i need to get caught up on and i hope to do so this weekend.
          
          anyways, tldr: the onc is hard, but look for new chapters of 'tdcta' this week... hopefully...

really going through it with some sudden and frankly upsetting changes in my university program department… but i should have another chapter of “THE DEVIL COMES TO ANGELOVSK” up within a week. writing sure helps me escape the more challenging days of life– i’ve just got to find time to do it!!

@jhpond, hey that's amazing! congratulations on all your hard work! 
            
            and basically three fourths of my department's faculty was cut/replaced and there is a reduction in opportunities/connections because of combing programs/lack of funding. as a second year student it's a big blow to my education quality and overall just very stressful because students are holding everything together right now. :(
