I just finished reading muntazir in a single sitting and I am speechless. Your intricate words are absolutely heartwarming and all the characters seem to have a personal touch and not just imaginary, fake book characters. The story was not too short or too long unlike the ones I mostly come across. Each line kept me hooked and wanting to read more. I truly look forward to more of your creations.

Wattpad readership is a complete mess, seriously. I've come across so many books that are just straight up nonsense, yet they somehow manage to get all the recognition. Meanwhile, half of the truly wise and genuinely good books out there are left in the dust. It's messed up, no doubt about it.
And writing here on this platform has become very tough. I pour my heart and soul into my stories, but it feels like no one cares. It's disheartening and downright demoralizing, to say the least. Maybe it's time to hang up my writing hat and focus on other aspects of my life. After all, what's the point of writing if no one is reading? It's time to move on and find something that brings me the recognition and fulfillment I crave.
I am grateful to those few people who have consistently supported me and my work. You guys are truly amazing! Thank you so much! While I'm not entirely giving up on writing, I have decided to take it slow and not put as much effort into it anymore. I don't want to end up heartbroken. From now on, I will decide what to do with my account based on my own wishes. I used to prioritize readers and their opinions, but that didn't get me anywhere. So, I'm taking charge of my own decisions now.

@cidrahx that is so damn true and not only this there is a lot of hypocrisy too. Like somehow we can read a cheating, awful ML but God forbid we our FL is not a typical innocent, naive lead. And then that romanticization of forced marriages, somehow that awful parent that blackmails his own son is called 'great', like I am all for the forced marriage trope, I like it, but just make the parents go through some consequences. I can go on a huge rant on how many of these very common Wattpad elements I hate (I have a list), but it's not worth it. But again I feel Wattpad doesn't really look into content a book's visibility depends on other stuff. Wattpad is an app that has not made its algorithm transparent, but we can still guess. Your book Muntazir in fact has come on mine and some of my friend's recommended pages quite a few times. I think the title or the book cover does impact this as well. Maybe you should try promoting your books through reels on Instagram... then people who are interested will automatically come. There are tons of people who wish to read books like the ones you write, they are just not able to find it

Came across your work today and it pains me to see talented writers go by unrecognized! Throwback to 2020, a couple of my books hit off and I recall gaining a decent numbers of readers in a short amount of time. I was never ‘popular’ here, but I was getting recognition. One morning I woke up and the newsfeed disappeared, and I kid you not, I saw a drop in numbers over night. I never gained back that traction.
Wattpad keeps pushing the same old books with the same old plots. Also, if it doesn’t have sexy covers you’ll probably never make it to anyone’s list of suggestions. So yeah, it’s probably not only the content, algorithm has a lot to do with it as well.
That being said, reflecting back to my previous point, the most rapid growing books here are the ones with smut. Sex sells. Unfortunately, this is what literature has been reduced down to here.
I was caught up with numbers and popularity once upon a time. That’s not the case anymore. I realized, since I write for the sake of spreading knowledge, Allah will make sure my messages reach those who need it. So I shouldn’t worry about the numbers of readers at all. Also, writing gives me joy, so I shouldn’t let anything get in the way of that.
But yes, it’s still difficult not to feel disheartened once in a while. Your struggles are valid and very relatable. Please focus on yourself. Do what’s best for you and brings you joy. May Allah make it easy for you.
