░ JOAN & NEO SHARED A DESK. Their professor must have been ' smoking crack ' if he believed that assigning them a desk, which was more like a long table, together was a wise idea. The two were friends, but they constantly picked on eachother. Joan especially found Neo annoying, & therefore used this as pranking fuel. Her pranks were tedious & annoying, but his reactions got her every time. Was their bickering immature? Yes. Was it funny? Yes.
They also mutually shared a man: Maximus Boris. Max was Joan's boyfriend & Neo's best friend from childhood. Therefore, they were NOT allowed to kill eachother (for the time being).
The class was for computer science. Joan had gotten there especially early. She taped pencils, pointing up to represent spikes, across the middle of the desk. A couple students laughed when seeing it. When Neo entered the room, she had finally finished her "masterpiece."
"Hi, Neo. Nice shirt."
Upon seeing the ' wall ', Neo mumbled something about a safety violation & piercing an organ, to which Joan replied with a raise of her hand & cross her fingers.

"Try," Joan tapped her chin lightly, pretending to be thinking hard, "insult?" She snorted & then retrieved her laptop from her large case. She gave him a thoughtful glance before asking, "So, Neo, what are you doing tonight?"
