“Attiiiiii” Sirius whined as he came running over, plonking himself down next to the Hufflepuff. “Save me please, I don’t think I can stand James for a second longer.” He said dramatically.

“Seriously if I hear one more thing about Snape or Evans then I don’t even know what I’ll do in frustration.” He exclaimed, giving Atticus a pleading look.

“You don’t happen to be free by any chance right now, do you?” He asked, suddenly getting an idea.

Robby didn’t really know how he’d ended up here, he had just been dragged l along and now he was in a garden with a few other kids. He didn’t even know them but as he head inside somewhat reluctantly, he couldn’t help but watch Ryatt. He was slightly shorter than the redhead, though he didn’t think it was much of an issue. Though in a mild panic of not knowing what to do, he turned around and walked right into a wind home, likely alerting Ryatt to his presence.

Robby had only been taught by Mr Larusso once when he asked why they were all over the dojo. Otherwise prior to that, he also believed that it was similar stretchy string. Though plastic made logical sense as it could withstand the weight of the metal more easily. “No one says it’s right, but then again, what is the definition of right? Are we doing wrong by changing the sound if it’s not intentional? Is it perhaps adaptation and always meant to happen?” He questioned, taking a philosophical approach to this unusual conversation with Ryatt. He didn’t know how long it took to make but it seemed to take a while with how intricate it looked so he decided to leave it there, knowing that Ryatt was a sucker for tradition and order. Though he was someone who broke rules accidentally whilst trying to abide by them so they opposed each other in that sense. Though Robby did his best to be understanding of tradition and he was getting better as he learned miyagi-do. Robby found the little rambled cute all the same and was glad he hadn’t been interrupted. “Yeah, the Greeks really loved their tragedy. It’s a common cycle, girl likes guy who rejects them for a different girl who doesn’t like them. I feel Clytie could’ve had a good life if she hadn’t gone mad and dedicated herself so solely to Apollo.” He replied with a soft chuckle at the shrug. They were definitely knowledgeable on similar aspects but also filled in gaps where the other’s knowledge lacked, nicely complimenting the other and it reflected their typical relationship too

Ryatt raised a brow at Robby as he called the string stretchy plastic. It wasn’t something everybody knew. Most just took it for stretchy string when in reality it was mostly braided nylon or polyester in order to withstand the weather and string enough to hold up the metal. However, if pulled on hard enough can snap very easily. “I suppose though who says that it’s right? The creator of the wind chime wanted it to sound that way no need to change it. If we wanted a different sound might as well make another than break one already with its own nice song.” Ryatt said. He knew how long it could take to make one of these things and it was extremely hard when they were getting a particular sound. Not to mention Ryatt was kinda a big sucker for tradition, rules, and order. It didn’t mean he wasn’t open minded it’s just his moral code just leaned that way. It wasn’t necessarily that the other guys were so interested in flowers it’s just that Ryatt tended to go on his knowledgeable rambles anyway. They’ve learned not to really stop him. “Yeah most Greek legends are tragedies, like Agamemnon or Medusa. But Apollo rejected Clytie because he was in love with a mortal named Daphne who ironically enough did not return his affections in the slightest. However she turned into a sunflower for the symbolism of her attention always being on Apollo since he’s known for riding his golden chariot in the sunny skys.” He said. He shrugged at his next statement. “Action process potato pahtoto.” He said not finding much difference in the way he said it. Though Ryatt was very knowledgeable on Greek legends being quite a big nerd on this particular subject. Looking at the pair their knowledge of the respective sides complimented each other quite well.

Robby playfully rolled his eyes. “Mhmm because stretchy plastic breaks easily” he teased. “Oh yes, naturally it sounds different but really isn’t that part of life? Changing, loss, growth” he replied somewhat philosophically. Robby knew he was popular but certainly wasn’t aware of him being a big homosexual so it definitely made him a little jealous and feeling like he didn’t have a chance. He saw Ryatt was always responding to them and well it seemed that he definitely was attempting to get to know them so he’d always just acted, distant. It was too hard to be cold to him but it hurt too much to try and be friends when his feelings went deeper than that. He didn’t really like Miguel and Hawk, Hawk was just a jerk since he’d joined Cobra Kai and well Miguel was basically stealing his father so he had genuine reasons but he was mostly just envious of how close they were too. Robby certainly didn’t like Sam because she was certainly spoiled and after the whole thing with her and Miguel, he just couldn’t stand her. He had never really know that Ryatt was close with Johnny though perhaps it was a good thing. In a way, knowing would hurt him because it was yet another guy his father was mentoring closely whilst he ignored his son who was so close and yet so far. Robby had no idea why the other guys even cared about flowers so much, though he definitely always found Ryatt’s rambles interesting. “Wow, that- that’s dark. Why did Apollo reject her? Also a sunflower of all things? That’s pretty bleak but” he commented, somewhat sympathetically. “But it’s not a process, it’s just the name of the action as tropism is just movement and helio refers to the Greek God Helios, aka in this case, the sun” he replied, fairly knowledgeable on the biology aspects of the myth/sunflowers.

Ranika sat on a counter, swinging her legs slightly as she pretended to watch the game on the screen, though really she was staring at the adorable blonde woman in front, Donna. They’d been in the same class at school but well Ranika had never really gathered the courage to talk to her outside of class work, despite having a pretty big crush on her. Mostly because it would be embarrassing if Donna wasn’t even into women and then decided she didn’t want to be friends with her after. Steve, her adopted brother, kept pushing for her to talk to Donna but she would chicken it at the last moment. She didn’t even realise Donna was approaching until she heard her name being called and promptly slipped off of the counter and nearly crashed into her. “I’m so sorry, are you okay?”

//it’s okay, honestly I didn’t notice until you said it.

Ranika flushed slightly in embarrassment. “I- well it’s silly but I guess I just…zoned out? I don’t know I wasn’t like focused on anything in particular” she hummed, hoping it would be believable enough, definitely hesitant to reveal it had been Donna on her mind all that time. “Sorry - wait here let me get you some water” she said before getting some for Donna. “That came out a lot blunter then I intended,
I’m sorry” she apologised, feeling a little embarrassed now before immediately brightening at her next words. “Really? I- uh, sure when are you free this week?” She asked her, smiling at the excitement that seemed to come from Donna. “Uhhhm, I’ll tell you the dress code but not the place, how does that sound? That’s way it’s partially a surprise?”

Donna giggled. „No really what were you thinking about? The game is 24 to 3 right now.“ she stated. Donna usually would act dumb and go along when someone didn’t straight out tell her something. She didn’t like confrontation in any regard really, but she really wanted to know what held Ranika‘s attention. Donna shook her head. „No you’re okay.“ she assured though she did grab some veggies from the veggie tray. She almost choked on a carrot at how blunt Ranika was afterwards. She just wasn’t quite expecting quite a proposition. She hoped she played it off alright before answering the other girl. „Yeah! I’d like that!“ she agreed. „You going to keep the place a mystery or can I know a little of what to expect?“ she questioned. @-lifeguardingscoops

I feel like it’s obvious I don’t play Donna as much as I play Scott lol//

Ranika had watched Donna and it seemed like a genuine interest but granted that she could only see her side profile, it wasn’t likely but maybe she’d come over for another reason. A part of her wanted to think it was for her but it’s not like Donna could have known Ranika would be home. She was just currently trying to work up the nerves to talk to her without sounding like a total mess and she’d talked plenty of times with Steve about it, occasionally even Scott but she could never fathom Ehh both wanted her to push so hard when, well Donna didn’t seem to have any interest in women let alone her. Though she mildly hated how easy it was for Billy and Scott to get themselves a date whilst she couldn’t even muster up the courage to talk to Donna. Though they were both great in encouraging her to see that even if she didn’t feel confident enough, she could still try to do her best to talk. “Oh I um, I was watching the game? Yeah it was, it was a very intense first half” she replied, hoping it wasn’t too obvious that she had no clue about it. “Sorry I’m in your way aren’t I?” She apologised as she moved so Donna could get some snacks. In hindsight, perhaps she could have been a little more gentle with how she spoke next but hey, at least she’d somehow gathered up the confidence to ask. “Hey Donna? I feel like we haven’t really seen each other lately, so you maybe wanna hang out sometime? I wanna take you somewhere that’s pretty cool”
