What you are (hopefully) about to read is the first part of a trilogy.
Based around the life of King Edward The First of England set in the thirteenth century.
The book's working title is "The King's Jew".
Based around the lifelong friendship (and many disagreements) between Cristian (the King's Jew) and the King.
Our tale starts before their birth and ends at the beginning (as you can see in Chapter One).
Cristian's life is inextricably tied to King Edward and Cristian has to come to terms with
the religion of his dead mother (Jewish) as he is constantly caught between a rock and a hard place as he tries to make the life of his fellow Jews more tolerable in an age when they were being persecuted.
You will read of intrigue, betrayal, pomp and ceremony and abject poverty.
You will follow our players into terrible battles, scenes of love and courage.
Book One is approx 500 pages and the complete story is based on the facts of the great King Edward.
Is Cristian a real character? Read on dear friends and take the journey back in to thirteenth century England. Travel over Europe, go on crusade but above all keep a place in your thoughts for Cristian known to his friends and many enemies as: The King's Jew.
The photo shows the tomb of Edward when it was opened in the eighteenth century.
The places and deeds of Edward and Cristian are factually based ie. if the King was in Paris on a certain date then it is historical, documented fact.
