@YunRmz Yeah, her elementary school does partial instruction in French (we're in Ontario so it makes sense), and in cool with it, just another hurdle with virtual learning for me, lol. But she can count almost to 100 in French now (except for where numbers get weird, in the 80 range) which I'm personally impressed with!

@croquecannelle can't imagine! 5yr old and another language? It's hard! My son has Latin and even though languages come easy to me, Latin is too boring . Google translate and their text book help a little

The in-laws have is gift cards to LCBO (liquor store here in Ontario) as part of our Christmas and I finally spent mine today on makings for Midori Sours. (Which is, if you read DcB, Alec's favorite drink too.)
          
          I've had a couple and I'm feeling quite pleasant now, after a long week of virtual learning for my 5 year old, which we just learned will be extended until at least the 25th. May the gods have mercy...

I've had a lot more reads and votes lately, and comments both lovely and hilarious, from various folks and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's been reading. Y'all are awesome, and though I don't necessarily respond to every comment I do read them all and love them. (Unless you're a jerk and not the tasty Carribean variety, but luckily I don't think I've had any jerk comments yet.)
          
          I hope your 2021 has started out well and continues to be good, or if it hasn't, I hope it gets better for you soon! <3

Trying to keep my autistic (and possibly ADHD, like me) 5 year old focused for virtual learning is an adventure. Going a bit better than I expected, but it's still an adventure. She's currently refusing to show her teacher the triangles she drew. She's allowed to unmute her mic but it's starting muted because my dear daughter never. Stops. Talking. Not unless she's asleep.
          
          Next week, barring any provincial decree otherwise, she returns to school in person. 
          
          Will I be untired enough to write again? Who knows. Haven't been too successful so far but maybe the new year will help for summer unknown, possibly arcane, reason.

Alternately, I'll follow my current YouTube crafting white rabbit and dive into tablet weaving. Who knows.
