ricky telling nini,, "you're the one who called me buddy and i've been iced out for weeks so maybe it was building up" in s1 is so looked over when it answers if ricky had deep feelings for gina during s1 lol
and the answer is no,, bc what he tells nini tells us that
1) those past weeks of him hanging out with gina wasn't enough for him to not be iced out,, which means he wasn't rly happy still
2) him lashing out at nini during thanksgiving had way more to do with her friendzoning him again than him upset over what happened to gina ((and him caring about being called buddy at all just shows his feelings for nini hadn't changed even when gina came into the picture))
