⋆   ouverte had managed to calm down from their initial alarm. now, they merely watched misère from where he sat, a slight smile curling their lips. and he would certainly take notice of their coat upon the shoulders of the 'bartender'.  ⋆            hmm. i didn't think i'd be graced with such a welcome sight once awake. but really, now.. not only you see fit to enter my room while i'm asleep, completely defenceless, but also take my coat for your own use? i'm very certain that borrowing my prized possessions wasn't in your job description.            ⋆  though of course that jab was merely in jest. he made no move to leave the dreampool, remaining as they were.  ⋆

            misère's writing he was breifly doing on a notepad he had previously taken out was stopped in favor of checking on what ouverte was doing.  was he staring at him﹖﹖  hopefully his uniform wasn't disheveled,  he thought as he reached to brush off any invisible dust that was on his clothes〝  you're quiet ouverte,  did something catch your eye﹖ ＂

⋆  ouverte huffs as misère turns away, he himself also busying themself with their own work. but after a while he would find their gaze drifting as they work.. lavender hues watching misère's practiced movements with an indescribable expression. they rest his chin on his hand as he does so, gaze seeming almost.. fond (?)  ⋆

            the bartender in question only chuckled before patting the blond's shoulder and walked off〝  nothing,  was just asking ＂ he said while making his way back to his stationed spot behind the bartop.  he decided to go back to making a few practice drinks in order to try out the new recipes he was brainstorming about

ethan blinked.    he's not quite sure if he should take it as a praise or─┄   the latter.    it made him pause,   made him think about it for a few seconds..    [he was quite confused]. ⠀ “⠀man,   (...)   i'm hella confused whether you're complimenting me or just straight up being blunt about it cause,   what?⠀” ⠀ a chortle escapes from his lips. ⠀ “⠀but thanks,   i guess.⠀”

            〝  well if you want to keep that up,  try building up a tolerance to alcohol first ＂ misère suggested with an amused laugh.  he began making a few drinks after having received a small paper with their requested orders,  but still chose to talk to the other to pass time〝  and sure,  it may be dumb,  but there's something admirable about it y'know﹖  you still do it despite it making you look like a fool.  now that's something a lot of people wouldn't have the guts to do ＂

honestly,   this bartender was so kind...   no,   too kind.   no one would as nonchalant or relaxed about cleaning up someone's...   vomit.    except for this man he supposes.   at least that was what ethan thinks.    ‘maybe angels do exist...‘  <──–his inner monologue.   he could honestly start bawling his eyes out. ⠀ “⠀more on the first one,  it can be a bit of both though.⠀” ⠀ he replies with a beam. ⠀ “⠀hehe i know,   it's kinda dumb..⠀”

            〝  nah,  i'm fine.  same with our guest here ＂ he said while gesturing towards the lone patron who had sat in one of the barstools nearby them 〝  the guy tried putting something in her drink.  and you know how the rest goes ＂ he explained with a sigh and shake of his head,  watching as the drunk guest was escorted out.  he then turned towards the woman to ask if she was okay with a smile before going back to making her a new drink as an apology〝  things would've gotten ugly if you didn't step in i'll be honest ＂

⋆  striding over swiftly, ouverte flashes a charming smile at the drunk guest. and they don’t waste any more time with useless conversation. peeling his hand away from the wrinkled material in one quick motion. his smile remains even as the man flails, soon handing him off to attendants who would waste no time in escorting him out. ouverte watches the man disappear into the crowd, then turning towards misère with a slight frown.  ⋆           .. you weren’t hurt, were you?

            〝  just another drunkard trying some shit with the other patrons.  decided to step in,  but you see how that went ＂ the brunette said quietly enough so only ouverte heard him as he glanced at the intoxicated man's hand that was grabbing at the collar of his shirt from over the countertop

            〝 hm﹖  well,  if you say so ＂ a couple of blinks was given after hearing ouverte's response.  a light tinge of red could later be seen on his cheeks at the compliment that was said,  causing misère to clear his throat before pushing himself off the wall so there was enough space between the two〝  i'm only wearing the usual uniform,  nothing really special about it ＂ he said while coughing into the curve of his elbow in an attempt to get rid of his flustered visage

⋆  ouverte startles, he'd felt their torsos brush together. (they really shouldn't have pulled with such force.) but for now he ignores that, and gives a soft exhale.  ⋆           well, i've done it already so no need to worry about that. you.. look great..            ⋆  at that, he trails off. perhaps it's with their close proximity, but they seemed to notice misère's features with much more clarity than usual. had the bartender always looked so.. beautiful?  ⋆

            the weight of his hands he had pressed against the wall behind ouverte to keep himself upright faltered slightly at sudden tug of his tie〝  i could've done it myself if you told me about it y'know﹖ ＂ he commented as his tie was properly adjusted thanks to the other's help〝  is there anything else on me that needs to be fixed,  or was that it﹖ ＂
