            it's definitely a lot sunnier than down here , but .. i'd say that it has a lot of vitality to it . the lands are vibrant with plants , flowers .. it is really quite beautiful . why the sudden question ?

            (    thanatos didn't know how to feel and although he wanted to be reassured by the fact that zagreus wanted to let him know .. he was still hurt by the fact that he didn't . it was a whirlwind of shock , confusion , anger ... sadness that he was in . he found himself gripping his scythe a little tighter , trying to swallow back his feelings . he just wanted zagreus to be happy , that's what worked before . thanatos supported zagreus and megaera's relationship even when his heart hurt every time he saw them and now , even when he had liked zagreus ever since they were young . now , those same feelings made their presence known again in regards to zagreus leaving . leaving for the surface and to never come back . it was selfish , he knew it . he knew it was selfish in his mind to demand the other to stay because gods , he was in / love / with the kin of hades .. but what right did he have ? hell , he didn't even know if zagreus even liked him back in that manner . imposing his love when it was not mutual , he didn't want that to ruin them . after a long silence , the god of death spoke once more .   )  .. you mean the queen ? and you .. you wouldn't come back .   (   he repeated , averting his gaze so that maybe the prince wouldn't see the tears swelling up .  )  you would leave everything behind for that small hope ?
