          It wasn't a war, it wasn't a terrorist attack, and it definitely wasn't some supernatural entity.  It was all our doing.  Or rather, it was our undoing.  We killed ourselves.  Humanity killed itself.  Be it an accident or intentionally, we brought about an era where no humans would survive, where no human could survive.  We brought about an era leading to this...

My mother wasn't letting me use my phone enough to focus on the chapter, said I needed to do some chores and help out around the house more. @demons_rain The stories name is 'Population Zero'.   Here's the description for those of you interested:
            
            A short collection of stories about the "survivors" of a zombie apocalypse and  a few chance meetings that tie them together.  That is, for those who survived long enough.

            Jane, a lone wolf, a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians.  Her one dream was baseball, she was eager to be apart of the Cleveland strikers and had already applied.  But life doesn't go as planned, not when zombies have anything to say about it.
            
            Ezra, a kid with spunk but little wits.  At 16 years old he's already been put through the ringer, with an alcoholic mother inflicted with bipolar tendencies, and his father deceased, he has little will to live.  But what if zombies are just the cure he's looking for to regain his will to survive.
            
            Richard,  a well-mannered boy filled to the brim with emotions.  He's lived a life of, what most would call, luxury.  He lives in a nice house with his sweet mother, successful father, and his adorable pomeranian husky Vasco.  There's never been a day in his life that he's had to put in effort just to survive in this world.  But not even he's safe from the apocalypse.
            
            Lalo, a 23 year old shut-in who's spent the last 6 years of his life hating humanity, and hating himself even more.  With weak limbs and a body that's barely seen the sun, will it even be possible for him to survive or will teeth meet flesh in a gruesome battle for the life he once hated.

            Those are the lives of only a few characters, there are many more to come.

After my long inactivityI finallt started a new story, it's a short story.  But don't get me wrong, I enjoy writing for leisure I just really don't have the patience or dedication to write a full book.
          (I won't post any chapters for normal lengthed stories until I've finished writing the entire book.  I don't want to publish a book, get through half the story, then suddenly go inactive and never complete it.)
