A fictitious narrative in prose or verse; the interest of which turns upon marvellous and uncommon incidents. It should be emotionally satisfying and have an optimistic ending. This is how one could describe a novel which falls in the ROMANCE genre. 

I am a die-hard romantic and the books I read and write celebrate the 'falling in love phase to fighting the odds and achieving the happily ever after'. 
With a twist, a mystery and poetic bewitchery.

Life is tough at least the books we read should be our stress buster and when we finish them, they should bring a smile to our face.
