In the future, no matter where in the solar system they live, everyone vacations on Earth.
Sure, the planet is gorgeous, but the real draw is the Earthborn. All other humans are genetically engineered. Earthborn are crafted. They are beings of extraordinary beauty who are physically sustained, not by food alone, but by the pleasure of others.
WILLOW has recently earned her stripes as a Peacekeeper. She is inexplicably furloughed to Earth where she learns that Peacekeepers working outside the system are trafficking Earthborn to an advanced alien species. If the quotas are not met, all of humanity will be destroyed. Some Earthborn, suspicious that something nefarious is going on are plotting a rebellion, but they are ignorant of the greater threat.
When Willow falls in love with an Earthborn man, she must find a way to save the Earthborn without endangering the rest of humanity.

A year or two ago, I took down my story, Earthborn, to work on revisions. It got sidelined due to other projects, but it is done and it is back, coming to you in weekly installments. I hope you enjoy it!

@Aunt_Beany2 I often have fairly mindless stretches of time at my day job, so I often listen to audio books then to help the time pass. Outdoors I guess it depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to listen to something. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the peace. Same in the car. This week I've been in a bass-thumping music mood while driving. LOL!

Normally I do not. I like to listen to the breeze and the birds and even the cows (unless they escape their pasture). When I’m in the tractor, I try to listen to the tractor engine and whatever equipment I’m pulling with the tractor in case of trouble. If I’m in the truck, I listen to the radio sometimes. If the dogs are with me, the windows are down so they can hang their heads out. It’s just not conducive to listening to an audiobook.

Hello fellow michigander! I reside on the east side of the state which is currently 8 degrees. My user name is @annelwilkin but my author name is Lianne Crewz. I just wanted to introduce myself as a possible mentee for the boot camp. I like humorous stories, science fiction, fantasy and paranormal. I have four kids, all adults now. The youngest just turned eighteen. I've entered the ONC twice before and am planning on doing it again this year. Thanks and have a great day!

@eacomiskey LOL... are you thinking about doing multiple projects? It is difficult to keep up, but I assume you are one of the lucky ones who knows how to handle it. I can't anymore. But good luck! Might try my luck on an ONC for the first time this year if there's a prompt that interests me.
