When I was about to start highchool, I had this friend called jaeden, who was with me at a camp. The first weeks were going surprizingly well, and him and I had a lot of fun. One day, I told him about me, about my real name and not my deadname, and that I felt better being called by he/ him pronouns instead of mine. I asked him if he thought that it was stupid, but instead, the next day, when we were doing bracelets, he gave me a beautifull yellow bracelet, with beads that said "eddie", i was sobbing at this point. When we had to leave, I swear I cried more than ever in my life. I remember him saying, "eddie, you're the prettiest boy in the world" in my ear. Before saying my final goodbye to him. Sadly, he didn't have a phone, so I couldn't talk to him ever again. Two years ago, a friens of mine was really mad at me, so she tugged at it hard, and broke it. The only beads that were left were some yellow ones, and the "i" of "eddie" but, with the only parts that I could find, I crafted a ring. Nowadays, even if the band is yellowish and the yellow is more a white than the vibrating color that was in it's day, I am still wearing it everywhere, treasuring it with my heart. Today's his birthday, just wanted to wish him a happy birthday. Ily jaeden, wherever you are <3
