Eric Greitens

Eric Greitens is a true son of Missouri, born and bred in the heart of the state and educated within its public school system. His journey of learning and service has been nothing short of exceptional.

Following his undergraduate studies at Duke University, His intellectual prowess earned him the esteemed titles of both a Rhodes and Truman Scholar. These accolades paved the way for his academic pilgrimage to the University of Oxford, where he pursued knowledge with unwavering determination, culminating in attaining a master's degree and a distinguished Ph.D.

Eric's profound commitment to humanitarian causes found its artistic expression in his poignant creation, "Strength and Compassion." This remarkable work, a fusion of evocative photographs and insightful essays, was the fruit of his tireless efforts as a humanitarian volunteer. He dedicated himself to serving in some of the world's most impoverished and conflict-ridden regions, including Rwanda, Cambodia, and Bosnia, where he offered solace and hope to those in dire need.

Yet, His devotion to service reached even more significance when he answered the call to serve as a United States Navy SEAL officer. He faced the crucible of combat throughout his military career, being deployed four times during the Global War on Terrorism. His unwavering courage and dedication earned him numerous military awards, including the esteemed Combat Action Ribbon, Purple Heart, and Bronze Star.

In 2007, Eric Greitens's profound sense of duty led Greitens to channel his combat pay from Iraq into establishing The Mission Continues, an organization where he currently serves as CEO. The Mission Continues is a beacon of empowerment for veterans, inspiring them to continue their service and ignite positive change within communities across Amhea.
