Ah, I'm sorry, do I know you?

rxdiantshadows

Worse case scenario is that you can't perform the magic. Humans can't seem to grasp fae magic all that well. Not unless they have some faerie blood in their veins. It's old and unpredictable, and it can be dangerous. But that only happens if you manage to master it and grow careless. Humans are rather fragile creatures. * in all honesty, she knew the girl wouldn't be able to use it either way. but she was tempted to see if a modern witch had the same kind of commitment to magic in the way those of old had. if she did... well Niamh had a few witch spells she could teach the girl instead *

            * when did her attempt at getting the woman to flick the original hybrid turn into a potential magic lesson? don't get her wrong, it's the most tempting offer she's ever gotten, she's just extremely confused. that must be clearly written all over her features right about now, and she should definitely say SOMETHING. * uhh... yeah, yeah. i think someone would do right to put them in their place, especially if you're not around to do it. * the words were said jokingly and with a slight smile, but this woman was not messing around. * if we're being totally serious here though, there's nothing bad that could happen to me from this, right? like... nothing life threatening? my brain won't get overloaded or some other thing that sounds crazy but could totally happen in the world we live in?

* she regarded the girl and her request for a moment. It was possible, though for a witch to grasp faerie magic was near impossible. She had tried teaching Finn and Kol once though neither one had much luck at it * I knew him as a human. Combine that with what I am, he had every reason to be afraid of me. They all did. If I had of wanted, I could have wiped out their entire village. I could show you, the spells I know, though witches in the past have struggled with them. Fae magic is far more deadly than witch magic and far older. Makes it more difficult to control. But if you do learn it, it would give you control over vampires.

I'm guessing you've been dragged into this mess as well...

in all honesty? jade liked to forget about what happened to her and focus on her sister. after all, most of her life was spent catering to davina and her needs anyway. why shouldn’t she continue with that? but she knew the harsh things the mikaelson’s had done to a whole lot of other people, and the woman in front of her was not an exception. but she wouldn’t ask about it, she knew it would be a sensitive topic and not at all a good conversation to have when it would be their first. “hm. you know, i think it is. it may get us into a whole lot of trouble, but i think it would definitely be worth it. get some sort of control before it’s ripped out of our grasp once more. i’ll buy first round?”

She wasn't wrong there. Ever since Leah had gotten dragged into Hayley's mess, it had just been one problem after another. And each time the Mikaelsons seemed to be at the centre of it. There was no remorse or guilt for dragging innocent parties into their games. Even when they had changed her into a vampire, forcing her to trigger her werewolf gene. She had been doing so well before them and they had to ruin her life. She couldn't even begin to imagine what they had done to the witch that was standing with her. She hated to even think of it. "Or we could just leave," she half mused to herself. "Instead of pandering to their every whim. Rousseau's should be open."

“oh no, they can’t have that! they’ve got to come and torture us in person. makes them real happy.” she tapped her arm while she spoke, that being the way she would show her irritation at the current moment. she wouldn’t snap at the woman, absolutely not. she was not the one that should be held at the end of her harsh words, that would be klaus mikaelson. she had a habit of pushing his boundaries and testing his patience, and she sort of loved it. because so far, he hasn’t killed her! by some miracle, really.

“what on earth is going through that brain of yours now?” in her defense, the only thing she could think of that he would be thinking about is murdering davina. jade had sincerely hoped that with as much time as they spent together (perhaps not as much as her sister has, but more than enough in her own mind) that he would realize there was no way in hell she was going to allow that. but maybe that was the only way davina really would leave kol alone. either that or jade could attempt to get her to hyperfocus on someone else? otherwise, she really had no possible idea what kol could even be implying by such a statement.

She wasn't wrong about that. Annoying people just so happened to be a habit of his. One he was particularly good at. He had to be, if he wanted to irritate Nik and Rebekah constantly. Elijah was too boring to even consider it. But Jade? Jade was nearly as fun to annoy as his other siblings. And the fact she had continued to put up with him for this long only served as an open invitation to continue with what he was doing. "Ah, I really don't think you have even spent half the amount of time as she has," he replied, grimacing slightly. "You're not the sibling who's stalking me, after all. And you don't think I've tried that? The only purpose that served was to make her more infatuated with me. She is an actual menace and I can't get rid of her." He paused for a moment, as if thinking before he opened his mouth again. "Then again, maybe you can offer some solutions to get rid of her."

well, unlike anyone else who would have tried to steal anything from the mikaelson family, the claire witch did not have a death wish. she enjoyed her life, at least the parts she was able to enjoy without chaos from this wretched family and her own sister. “if you ask anyone, your default state is annoying. i don’t think there’s a single person in this entire world you haven’t annoyed.” despite her not having a death wish, she clearly liked to try and push his buttons. she didn’t know why, but maybe it was because a part of her knew that he wouldn’t actually do anything. his siblings? well, more than likely, but that’s exactly why she wouldn’t do this with anyone but him. she knew that he enjoyed this, their banter, just as much as she had. although, she hid her enjoyment entirely from the man. it was bad enough her sister was infatuated with the man, she didn’t feel like she should reveal her own feelings for the man— whatever it was they were. “really? i’m amazed. i’ve probably spent the same amount of time in your company and i’m constantly annoyed by it. are you sure you actually want her to leave you alone? because if so, just act how you do with me. i’m sure that’ll do the trick.”
