Hello my fellow readers and writers,

I wanted to let you guys know that I'll be doing some poetry writing again, partly inspired by a creative writing course I'm participating in, as well as inspired by the emotional trials in my own life. If you want to check it out, I'll thank you for your time and direct you to Acrostic Poems 3: An Inspiration of my Life. If not, I don't mind and hope to see you another time.

Good luck on your reading and writing journeys,

          	Gracelyn Pine

Sometimes we wake up excited for the day until that day is suddenly dashed away from us, replaced with crushing defeat. We take our worst parts--the worst traits and biggest judgement calls--to be who we are, leaving us to simmer in self-hate and broken spirit. Sometimes we get mixed reviews from others but we only see the negative side of things and take that person's considerations a little too heavily to heart. But let me tell you, some of our hurt is our pride and self-regard. At times, this needs to be dropped down to real proportions. Other times, we need to realize how great our potential really is. Whatever it is that has you down, this is not how the rest of your life will be, as long as you fight it. You are more that your worst review. Believe it. And if you are your worst, change it. There's always hope left to fall on.
