Part 2

All that being said, I'm starting a new system, if you will. Every day that I can, I'm going to write a new chapter of something. If I want to start fifty books and never finish a single one - great. If I want to work on the same one all the way through - cool. If I want to write a dozen and make it take three decades to finish them all - swell. As long as a chapter is written, the mission has been accomplished.

All of them are going to be first drafts, so beware! The stories will be made up as I go along, so there will definitely be kinks. If that bothers you, let me tell you now, you do not belong here. Spend your time elsewhere. Fly away. Abort mission. I totally understand if no one cares to read any of my chapters, I can totally be a snob about reading rougher stuff. Really the only reason I'm making them public is so I have more of a motivation to do it. If I keep it to myself, I'll be way more likely to be lazy and start skipping days when I don't feel like writing. If you do stick around though, feedback is always welcome, positive or negative.

If you've gotten through reading this whole post, I congratulate you and give you three whopping solid gold imaginary stars. Let's be friends, you star earner, you. Don't be shy, introduce yourself and I'd be happy to check out some of your work. Otherwise I will continue on with my antisocial ways, and nobody wants that. No pressure, or anything ;)

So, uh, I dunno how to end this thing, so I'll just say bye. Bye!

Part 1

Lately my writing has been getting neglected, and I really want to fix that. Honestly, I'm more of a dreamer / planner than a doer, and I want that to change. I love coming up and planning out plot ideas to where I have dozens of potential stories just sitting there in my mind, and that's usually where it ends.

I've been working on the same book for two years now off and on, and I'm kinda tired of even thinking about it. I have a desire to write frequently, but the thought of working on my book snatches that desire away before I can give it a second thought. I really wanted to finish this book before starting a new one though because I've worked so long and so hard on it. It seems like starting a new book is kinda like abandoning this one, but I need to get a new frame of mind.

At this point, I just want to get in the habit of writing every possible day. My writing will never improve if I never practice, and goodness knows I have tons of room for improvement. I've come to accept that it's better for me to write whatever I feel like each day than to not write at all.
