I'm a writer, a teacher, an editor, a wife, and a mom to six kids. I know that's a lot of kids. I didn't know what I was getting into when I started having them. But since I love them to pieces, I guess I'm stuck with them.

So how did I decide to become a writer? I wasn't one of those people who always knew they wanted to write books. Looking back, it seems so clear to me that I should have known. I simply love using my imagination. I've used it all my life, much to the dismay of my parents and teachers. I was and still am a hopeless daydreamer. Any problem in life can be solved with imagination, and magic, don't forget the magic. 

Along with the stories in my head, I've also read a lot, like a bazillion books throughout my life. I decided on a whim to try my hand at writing. It only took me a day to get hooked. I'll admit, I wasn't very good at it at first. But after a decade and a half and millions of words written, I feel I'm getting the hang of it.

I love writing about heroes and heroines, and I'll admit, I also love a good villain. The stories I write are mostly fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, and horror. And there will absolutely, always be a bit of romance entwined in my stories. I don't see much point in writing a book without it (at least not for me).
